The film spawned a number of variant settings include a Chinese-language western-style opera True Daughter of the Party (also 1958),〔(True Daughter of the Party )〕 and a play (1959),〔党的女儿/: 秦腔现代剧 1959 "据上海人民淮剧团演出本“党的女儿”改编〕 and a TV series (2011).
